Creative Classes for Kids & Teens

Welcome to It’s an Art Thing! Our Kids & Teens classes provide a bright, inspiring space for young artists to explore, experiment, and have fun with art. Each class is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and encourage self-expression—all in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Whether your child is just starting their art journey or already loves to create, our Mini Masters and For the Love of Art Collective sessions give them the tools, guidance, and inspiration to make their own masterpieces. Materials are included, and each class is filled with opportunities to learn, play, and grow as an artist.

March and April
In these classes kids will explore famous artists and make their own masterpieces, while teens will experiment, connect, and develop their skills in a fun, supportive space—perfect for sparking imagination and building confidence.
Mini Masters:
Explore Famous Artists (Ages 6–12)
Saturday mornings in our beautifully restored church studio give kids the chance to learn about art history while creating their own masterpieces.
Over 5 weeks, participants will discover the styles and stories of Van Gogh, Munch, Monet, Picasso, and Kahlo, experimenting with painting, drawing, and mixed media.
No experience is needed—just curiosity and imagination!

For the Love of Art: Teen Series
(Ages 13-17)
Friday evenings are designed for teens to paint, create, and collaborate in a fun, relaxed environment.
Over 5 weeks, participants explore acrylic painting, textures, layering, and personal expression, all while connecting with peers in a supportive, creative space.
Jjust bring your creativity and we’ll take care of the rest.

Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation and instructions for sending the e-transfer. We’ll follow up with E-transfer details. (e-transfer required to secure spot).
Mini Masters: Explore Famous Artists: Saturdays, Mar. 7, 2026 to Apr. 4, 2026 - 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Ages: 6-12 Duration: 5-week session, 1.5 hours per class
For the Love of Art: Teens: Fridays, Mar. 20, 2026 to Apr. 17, 2026 - 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
- Ages: 13-17 Duration: 5-week session, 2.0 hours per class (includes pizza/pop)
- Session includes 2 slices of pizza and 1 pop or water. Extra drinks are available for purchase at $1 each.
Please note that there are no refunds for missed classes. Each 5-week session is designed to be completed as a full series, and we encourage attendance at every class to ensure your child gets the full experience.
This is a drop-off class. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early for drop-off. Pick-up is promptly at 12:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Late pick-ups may incur a fee. Children are supervised at all times.
Weather Cancellations:
In the event of a snow day or severe weather, our class will be postponed and the session extended by one week to ensure all students get the full 5-week experience.
Safety comes first, and we’ll notify families as soon as possible!
